Permalite Façade In Surf Environment

Permalite Pictuyre

The architects working on the redevelopment of the Iconic Watt St Commercial Site (Formerly the Newcastle Hospital) chose PERMALITE® aluminium walling as an attractive and durable façade cladding.

Approximately 4,000 square metres of PERMALITE® LT7 profile in a pre-painted metallic finish were utilised on the project.

Construction was carried out by Stronach Constructions, with the cladding work performed by experienced roofing contractor Australia Wide Roofing.

Rob Atherton of Australia wide roofing wrote about the project,

Having supplied and installed the LT7 metallic Permalite wall sheets to the façade at Watt Street commercial site in Newcastle for Stronach Constructions. I found the product was easy to work with and the end result was spectacular, I have received plenty of comments of how good it looks. I have had a special mention from Keith Stronach (building owner and developer) who was very happy with the product and warranty on offer from PERMALITE® even though the project is situated only metres from breaking surf.  He has decided to use this LT7 product on the north and south side of his new development on Newcastle Beach.

PERMALITE® products are ideal for these harsh environments even when on an unwashed area such as an office façade as the corrosion resistance of the alloy does not depend on coatings or maintenance. PERMALITE® back this with long warranty periods, and combined with considerable cost advantages over alternate products, PERMALITE® products should be considered when you are looking for variety and durability in some of the harsh Australian environments.
